Hi,

I hope very soon. The code is frozen and we are finalizing the tests. My best
guess is sometime in Feb.

Cheers,
Marco

Hi, Marco
That would be great.
I installed the latest 9.1 on my phone. There's are really quite useful feature such like importing contacts and the calendar sync.
Maybe I could add the Chinese language resource into it. Hope I can contribute for funambol. :-)

Where can the 9.1 snapshot be downloaded? The forge says the latest
version is 8.7.1 but points to 9.0.1.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting we were talking about v 8.7.1 :) I updated the
andorid-client page.

9.0.1 is the latest version we released... it is official since
yesterday ;)
In a few weeks we'll release a new version with calendar sync.

Is calendar sync not enabled in the "Funambol Android Sync Client 9.0.1
- SNAPSHOT" (2010-12-23, available from the forge)?

Hi Adam,

it is enabled provided you have Android 2.2. If this is the case then we can
investigate what the problem is and why you can't see it. Otherwise it is
expected for the source to be hidden.

Marco

I have Android 2.2.1 Verizon, this is a Droid 1.

I have installed the app snapshot from Dec. 23rd.

This first issue I'm having is that the client seems unable to connect.
I am connecting to an https:// URL using a Network Solutions supplied
certificate. URL is in the form of https://{HOSTNAME}:8443/funambol.ds
I can synchronize to this URL from a PC using the Outlook client but the
Droid fails after some time of "Checking credentials" with a "Network
Error".

Hi Adam,

Android has quite a number of issues with https. As other people reported,
your certificate must be installed on the device for https to work. If not, you
would need to modifiy the client code to work with untrusted certificates. I
think this is possible, but it is not a feature in our roadmap.

Marco
